Thailand's Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow confirmed ongoing talks with Russia to purchase crude oil as tensions in the Hormuz Strait raise global energy concerns. This move reflects Thailand's strategic effort to diversify energy sources and mitigate supply risks given the uncertain flow due to the US-Israel-Iran conflict. Going forward, Thailand will continue exploring alternative suppliers and monitoring oil reserves, which currently last about 95 to 100 days, to ensure energy security.
