Tamil Nadu Deploys 4,200 Teams to Monitor ₹1.26 Cr Cash Amid Election Code Enforcement

Tamil Nadu has enforced the Model Code of Conduct for its assembly polls, deploying 2,106 flying squads and 23 agencies specifically to monitor cash and digital transactions. On the first day, authorities seized ₹1.26 crore in cash, highlighting the scale of potential election malpractices. Going forward, the state aims to strengthen election integrity by expanding monitoring to over 4,200 teams across the state to prevent illegal cash flows and ensure transparency.
