Malaysian Drivers with Licences Expired Over 36 Months Lose BUDI95 Subsidy Access

Malaysia's Road Transport Department and JPJ Director General Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli announced that drivers holding licences expired for more than 36 months will be automatically disqualified from receiving the BUDI Madani RON95 fuel subsidy. This measure ensures that only eligible, properly licensed vehicle owners benefit from the government subsidy, aiming to enhance road safety and subsidy targeting. Going forward, affected drivers must pass a driving test to renew their licences and regain subsidy eligibility, which may reduce subsidy misuse and promote compliance with licensing regulations.
