Indiana high school wrestling crowns champions as state finals wrap with standout performances

Center Grove secured the 2026 Indiana high school boys wrestling team title, narrowly edging Brownsburg in a closely contested state final at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, according to Yahoo Sports. The meet featured standout performances from several Indianapolis-area wrestlers, with seven champions including Connor Maddox of Westfield at 106 pounds and Traevon Ducking of Brownsburg at 113 pounds.

In addition to the team race, East Central Indiana produced notable individual achievements, with nine wrestlers qualifying for the finals and four finishing as state runner-up. Cowan’s senior Jackson Bradley made history as the first wrestler from his school to reach a state championship match at 157 pounds, finishing second after a close rematch with Linkin Carter, as detailed by Yahoo Sports.
