AfriForum urges NPA to prosecute Fikile Mbalula over 2016 Dubai trip allegations

AfriForum has called on South Africa's National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) to charge ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula with corruption, money laundering, and fraud related to a 2016 Dubai trip costing R680,000. The lobby group argues the misconduct could damage South Africa's international relations and reputation, including potential US sanctions under the Magnitsky Act. If the NPA refuses, AfriForum plans to pursue a private prosecution, escalating the legal and political pressure on Mbalula and the authorities.
