Streamer Clavicular, known online as Looksmaxxing, is under investigation by Florida authorities after videos emerged showing him shooting at a dead alligator in the Everglades. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is leading the inquiry, with Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins confirming the agency’s involvement, according to TMZ.
The footage, which went viral online, depicts Clavicular pulling a gun from his shorts and firing multiple shots at the alligator’s corpse while riding an airboat through the swamp. The Independent reports that authorities have not yet disclosed specific charges related to the alligator shooting, but the incident has prompted legal questions concerning wildlife laws in Florida.
In addition to the wildlife investigation, Clavicular was arrested on Thursday night in Fort Lauderdale on a separate battery charge. TMZ notes that the arrest was executed on a warrant, but further details regarding the battery allegations have not been released. The earlier arrest in Osceola County involved accusations of instigating a fight between two women during a live stream.
This series of legal actions signals heightened scrutiny of Clavicular’s activities both online and offline. Florida officials are continuing to review evidence, and the outcomes of both the battery and wildlife investigations remain pending. Observers will be watching closely for any charges or legal precedents that emerge from this case, given the growing use of social media for controversial content creation.
