People’s Party Wins Castilla y León Elections, Needs Vox Coalition to Govern

The People’s Party (PP) secured 33 seats to become the largest force in Castilla y León’s 81-seat regional parliament, while Vox gained 14 seats. This outcome marks a significant defeat for Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s Socialists, who suffered one of their worst results since 1983. The PP now faces coalition talks with the far-right Vox to form a government in Spain’s largest autonomous community.
