Nida Khan Named Mastermind in Nashik TCS Sexual Abuse Case, Family Denies Role

Nashik Police have named 26-year-old Nida Khan as the mastermind behind a sexual abuse and religious conversion racket at a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)-linked BPO in Nashik, according to Hindustan Times. Khan is one of eight employees accused of sexual harassment, rape, and coercion of Hindu women working at the facility. The police have registered nine FIRs and arrested seven individuals so far, with two suspects currently in custody as the investigation continues, Times of India reports.

Nida Khan's family has strongly denied her involvement, disputing police claims that she absconded or orchestrated the misconduct. They asserted she was at home during the investigation and criticized the handling of the case, calling the allegations a scripted conspiracy, according to Hindustan Times and Times of India interviews. The family continues to maintain her innocence amid mounting evidence presented by authorities.

The controversy initially came to light after a woman reported harassment, which was reportedly dismissed by a TCS-linked HR official, according to Hindustan Times. Nashik Police are collaborating with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on the matter, reflecting the serious nature of the offenses.

In response to the allegations, TCS has initiated its own internal investigation under a zero-tolerance policy toward workplace harassment, assessing complaints from at least eight female employees.
