Morgan Stanley's Mike Wilson: Half of U.S. Stocks Are in Bear Market Amid Correction

Mike Wilson, Morgan Stanley's CIO and chief U.S. equity strategist, reports that about 50% of stocks in the Russell 3000 and over 40% in the S&P 500 have dropped at least 20% from their recent highs, marking a deep correction. He emphasizes that this downturn is part of a mature correction in an ongoing bull market rather than a new recession, supported by improved earnings and fiscal stimulus. Looking ahead, Wilson warns that geopolitical risks, such as escalation in Iran, could disrupt this recovery, while also highlighting potential buying opportunities as the correction nears its end.
