A 13-year-old student, Nur Fatimatul Hawa Mohd Azaudin, died after being hit by a vehicle driven by a teacher outside Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tanjong Mas in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan, police confirmed. The incident took place at roughly 1:50 pm when the driver, a 57-year-old female teacher, mistakenly pressed the accelerator, striking two students; one died at the scene and the other remains seriously injured (Malay Mail).
The driver has been remanded for two days to assist with the ongoing investigations, as authorities look into the circumstances leading to the crash.
